Education
Sir Syed Ahmed khan got education of Holy Quran, Arabic and Persian literature from his maternal grandfather Khawaja farid-u-din.who was scholar and mathematician of his time. Sir Syed also taught by his mother in various subjects.
Government services
In 1839 Sir Syed Ahmed khan appointed as a clerk at court of law in Agra
In 1841 qualified for post of sub-judge and posted at Fatehpur Sikri
In 1846 elevated at the post of chief judge at Delhi
In 1877 appointed as member of imperial council
Educational movements
NOTE: All the movements which carried away by Sir Syed Ahmed khan are the part of Aligarh movement. i.e. Educational, economical, social and political
In 1859 he established a school at Moradabad for Arabic and Persian education.
In 1864 he set up a scientific society at Ghazi pur, where modern world. Knowledge translated from English to Urdu or Persian.
In 1969 sir Syed Ahmed khan visited England for two years and analyzed the Britain education system, where he impressed by educational system of Cambridge and oxford university and he made up his mind for such educational institution in India for the betterment of Muslims.
In 1870 laid the foundation of Anjuman-i-trarqi-i-musalmanan-i-hind with objective of imparting scientific knowledge to Muslims.
On May 24th 1874 MAO school established at Aligarh.
In 1877 MAO school upgraded to college which was inaugurated by Lord Lytton.
MAO College upgraded to Aligarh Muslim College after his death in 1920.
Writings
In 1847 sir Syed wrote Asrar-us-sanadid (antiquities of Delhi).
In 1858 history of bijnaur published.
In 1858 asbab-i-baghawat-i-hidh (the causes if Indian revolt).
Awards
Order of star of India on 6th august 1869.
He was awarded with degree of LLD by university of Edinburg.
Death
Sir Syed Ahmed khan died on 27th of March 1898 at Aligarh.
